What is your Base Score?

Mine is only 4.9. Though sometimes it turns to 5.0 if I enable the 3D support of the graphic card.

Anyway, using an semi-old unit. Saving up some money for a special one. :3

wow with vertex 3 ssd 240gb i got 7.7 base but with raptor 600gb it scored 5.9 all else was 7.7+

7.7 processor
7.8 ram
7.9 graphics desktop
7.9 graphics 3d
5.9 data transfer

Processor : 6.9
Memory : 5.9
Graphics : 4.9
Gaming : 5.3
Primary disk : 5.9

Base score : 4.9

Low base score obviously due to the graphics. Didn't really think about it when I bought this system. Could have gotten a similar set up with ATI Radeon graphics. Might have made the score better. I'm not a gamer though so no big deal to me.

my system evaluation is 3.2

processor 5.9
memory 4.9
graphics 3.2
Gaming graphics 3.2
main hard disk drive 5.9

,
i need to upgrade my VGA card , lol

well of anyway these numbers are ok

my computer is an AMD 64 X2 2.3GHZ
3GB ram
and an Nvidia Nforce gforce 6150SE

Mine is 5.9 because of HD, If I went with a SSD I would be in the mid sevens
ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz7.5
5.9
Determined by lowest subscore
Memory (RAM)12.0 GB7.7
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce GTX 2607.3
Gaming graphics4095 MB Total available graphics memory7.3
Primary hard disk1336GB Free (1397GB Total)5.9

Mine is 4.6, and for my notebook's specs, that sucks.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M480 @2.67GHz = 6.9
Memory: 6.0GB (at that time, now 8GB) = 6.9
Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics (where I'm screwed) = 4.6
Gaming Graphics: 1696MB Total available = 6.5
Primary Hard Disk: Hitachi 500GB, 5400rpm =5.8 (just one tenth less than my 3 32MB, 7200rpm HDD's)

Base Score: 4.6

Now something is screwed up here. Except for my hard drive, which surprised me, being that it's much slower than my (1) Caviar Black & (2) Samsung HD103SJ desktop HDD's, all 3 being 1TB, 32MB cache & 7200rpm.

Secondly, and more important, the correct GPU isn't listed. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT425M (1GB DDR3) dedicated video card. Had this spec showed, although my base score would have still been 5.8 due to my HDD, it would have been a lot more than 4.6. This card, although not the very top of the line, is far superior than what ships with many notebooks that costs over $1,000. Many of those doesn't even have a dedicated card, they sport Intel HD or AMD Radeon 4250 (at that time, around April of last year).

This was why I wanted a dedicated card, I was on the folding team at another forum, that card was racking up the numbers (considering it's size) to the tune of 5 to 6 thousand PPD. However, after 3 months of non-stop folding, I noticed at my MB & Video card temps beginning to rise. Then it crashed. I reinstalled the OS (to remove any traces of my folding activity), waited a couple of weeks, and contacted MSI. Being that it was only 4 months old, they emailed me a shipping label at no cost to me, to be inspected.

After a few days, I was contacted by the MSI rep, and was told that they had never seen a card that new in the condition that it was in. They shipped me by 2 day express, a brand new replacement (not a refurb or open box), and threw in the high performance battery instead of the standard that I had. So I came out ahead.

But a lesson learned, one cannot expect a notebook computer to run 24/7 for months on end. However, it plays videos beautifully with the installed card, and for the money I paid ($750 + $79 for the Anytime Upgrade to Pro), I came out good.

As far as the WEI goes, I feel that it's BS. Why would the test not use the best of the 2 video sources?

5.7 - Not the best cause my stupid HDD is only 500GB! Once i get a 1TB i am keeping the 500GB in and only putting windows on it. MEGA SPEED!

Full Specs-

Processor: 7.2 (I HEART QUAD CORES!)
RAM: 7.2
Graphics: 7.3 (GTX550ti)
Gaming Graphics: 7.3 (this is what kills the score on store-bought computers w/integrated vid)
Primary Hard Disk: 5.7 :( [this is what kills my score].

Overall: 5.7

How is it that a gtx580 only gets a 7.3? That makes no sense at all. And having an SSD for RRT and still only 5.9, just like in my last rig? Sheesh, what a worthless scoring system.

Just by owning an SSD doesn't make your windows performance index jump to 7.9. maybe you're motherboard doesn't utilize speeds capable with the SSD. and maybe your RAM isn't up to par with the GTX 580' Memory speeds, or maybe you're processor sucks.

My GTX is only a 1gb, and the scoring system only goes to 7.9.

According to those scores, my i7-2600k is at 7.6, and the ram 8gb @1600 scores at 7.8. I'll accept that the HD scores will remain low, but I thought that the SSD would at least bump it up a bit from the same 5.9 I got on my last computer.

I am having an issue with my harddrive, or the SSD, or both right now, and it's forcing me to face up to the fact that I don't know anything about Hard drives at all. I am practically a blank slate, which is pathetic. I try to learn a bit about them, but it's gobblety-goop to me. Sata, raid this and that. Oh man.

Lol maybe your SATA port is only a SATA2, or the SSD isn't the boot drive, are you using two HDD's?
