Hi,
I use Linux Ubuntu and I don't know if this also affects windows users, I only say this because I mainly use Linux, anyway, the FireFox popup blocker used to work wonders, however, I still see stupid adverts all over the place covering up the article I wanted to read. Is there anything I can do? I am sick of having to click on the little X to close the popup advert.. Today I was on a page it had like 4 adverts that covered most the page..
Any help welcome, thank you.

Quite true. There will always be some new clever way advertisers use to circumvent blockers. It has created a surprisingly large need for quality ad-block software. In this case, though, a simple ad-blocking extension should suffice in cutting out 80-90% of the ads mentioned above.AD blocker developers research and implement ways to block ads.
Website developers research new ways to get around ad blockers.
The cycle continues endlessly.

OK well does anyone have any good recommendations for FireFox? I am sick of opening up a window just to have to click to close 4 adverts.

Also, I live in the UK, is there a way to stop websites asking me to accept cookies?
