My Fujitsu laptop with Win7 began hanging at the splash screen. rebooting brought up the startup repair options. That did not work & neither did a system restore. Diagnostics found nothing wrong. The Fujitsu recovery disk only reinstalls Windows, wiping out everything. I purchased and attempted to use the Spotmau software to repair the MBR, but after it claimed to have successfully repaired the MBR, I couldn't even boot to the Startup Repair option.

Fujitsu does not provide a Win7 Install disk which has the repair option. I can boot from the CD/DVD. Does anyone have or know of a program which can repair this without a reinstall?

Thanks,
JTG

You can try this site to download a repair disk. It will do the same as the install disc, but I believe you will need a password.

The repair option might need to be run 3 or 4 times before it will repair the Win 7 install. But you need to look into what happened to mess up your system. If you have an idea or want to explain your install, post back.
