Introduction​

Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4353 (KB5036979) to the Release Preview Channel for Windows Insiders currently on Windows 10, version 22H2. This update introduces various enhancements and features designed to improve user experience.

  • Account-related notifications in Settings: Users will now receive notifications related to Microsoft accounts in Settings > Home. These notifications are essential for managing account settings, data backup, and subscription management, adding an extra layer of security to the account. Users can manage Settings notifications in Settings > Privacy & security > General.
  • App licensing fixes: Addressed an app licensing issue that impacted the functionality of Copilot in Windows Preview.
  • Modern Standby resume fix: Resolved an issue causing stop errors (0x9f DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE) when devices resume from Modern Standby.

  • To receive the latest updates, users must ensure their app version is 2024.11040.16001.0 or higher. Signing in with a free personal Microsoft account allows users to experience Designer's generative AI features in preview.
  • Windows encourages users to provide feedback through the Feedback Hub (WIN + F) under Apps > Photos.
