HI

I have a dell windows 10 laptop and have Microsoft word 2002 on it. I want to automatically add a full stop after hitting the space bar. Ive looked in the typing section of windows and ticked all concerned including insert a capital letter when needed.

Now i know it can be done as the capital letter does indeed automatically come in but the full stop doesn’t still despite being ticked.

Can anyone help me to fix this please?

Thanks.

I'd say upgrade office Office 2003 has been end of life for a long time and isn't really supported on Windows 10. If money is an issue install Libre Office. It's free and compatible with MS office file formats.

Hi there, thank you for that, but the thing is i also clicked ‘automatically insert a capital where needed’ and that worked so why should the full stop?

@Sharonharvey2 How do I alter the size of spaces in Microsoft Word?

This link says to go to the Font Dialouge box to fix this. Hope this helps. I want to say I remember some older versions of Word this was an issue for me, Office XP.

I dont wont to alter the size of spaces though, I want to know HOW to make a full stop AFTER hitting the space bar.

The Font Dialogue box is where you can change the spacing.

I’m still not sure what that has got to do with automatically making a full stop apart from having hit the space bar to achieve it?
