I'm looking for any sources for Windows 10 Athens as I'm interested in doing a tutorial on getting it up and running on the Raspberry Pi. Anyone?

Here's what I've gleamed so far about the Athens build:

1) Microsoft is developing a version of Windows 10 for IoT (Athens)

2) Windows 10 Athens will be running Windows Embedded Compact

3) There is also a Windows 10 "Micro" build that will run on Microcontrollers using the .NET Micro Framework (Arduino meets Windows anyone?)

4) Athens will run on Arm and x86 architectures

5) It's supposed to run on Raspberry Pi out of the box

While there isn't any direct reference to a Windows 10 build explicitly named "Athens," your interest in exploring Windows 10 on the Raspberry Pi is definitely intriguing. Here are a few insights and approaches you might find useful for your exploration:
  1. Windows 10 IoT Core on Raspberry Pi:
    • Windows 10 IoT Core is the official version of Windows 10 for Internet of Things devices like the Raspberry Pi. It's designed for low-power devices and supports Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps. This might be what you are referring to as "Athens." You can download the official Windows 10 IoT Core image for Raspberry Pi from the Microsoft website.
    []EMR Athens:
    • While not directly related to Windows...

    []EMR Athens:
    • While not directly related to Windows 10 IoT, there is a healthcare-specific solution called "EMR Athens," which is an Electronic Medical Record system.

    ].NET Micro Framework:
    • The .NET Micro Framework is a platform that enables you to write applications for microcontrollers using C#. If you are interested in .NET on microcontrollers, this could be a fascinating avenue to explore.
    []Windows on ARM:
    • Windows on ARM CPUs has become increasingly popular, especially with devices like the Surface Pro X. Exploring Windows on ARM architecture could be another area of interest.

    ]Community Builds and Projects:
    • Community forums and project repositories like GitHub might contain experimental Windows 10 projects for the Raspberry Pi or insights into running Windows systems on similar platforms. By delving into the Windows 10 IoT Core platform and its features, experimenting with UWP development, and exploring Microsoft's initiatives in the embedded systems space, you can create an exciting tutorial on running Windows 10 on Raspberry Pi. Be sure to check the official Microsoft documentation and community resources for the latest developments and projects related to Windows on IoT devices.
