How to try it (if you’re an Insider)
1) Update your PC and apps
Windows 11 Dev or Beta Channel with the latest updates.
Make sure Phone Link on Windows and Link to Windows on Android are up to date.
Install Spotify on both devices and sign in.
2) Link your phone
On Windows: Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices > Manage devices, and allow your phone.
Open Phone Link on Windows and complete pairing with Link to Windows on your Android device (same Microsoft account on both).
3) Enable notifications and app permissions
In Phone Link (Windows): Settings > Features > turn on Notifications.
On Android: Link to Windows > allow nearby devices, notifications, and run in background (disable battery restrictions if prompted).
4) Trigger the handoff
Start playing a track in Spotify on your phone.
Look for a Windows toast saying “Resume from your phone” with a Spotify icon.
Click “Continue on this PC.” Spotify desktop should launch to continue playback.
Current limitations/notes
Rollout is gradual; not all Insiders will see it immediately.
