Windows 7 Windows 7 64 bit and TabTip

When I first installed Windows 7 64 bit it recognized I had plugged in my graphics tablet (Intuos 3) and immediately launched the Tablet PC Input Panel. For quite a while it was working flawlessly, then out of nowhere it broke. Now when I write (Ink) something into the panel the text disappears as I write it, instead of converting it into text. Even if I manage to get it to convert a word, the insert button still does not insert the text into whatever program I've got focused. I've been scouring the Internet looking for a solution but have found nothing. If anybody has any insight on this I would greatly appreciate it.
