I recently purchased a new HP Pavilion Elite PC with the Windows 7 operating system, and ever since I began using it for the first time I was never able to connect it to the internet via my wireless router or through direct connection via ethernet cable. Right now I am only able to go online through my neighbor's WiFi and it's really aggrevating considering I pay monthly for this internet service.

I have tried many things and there is still no solution. I have resetted the modem as well as the router, same error. I have installed new drivers, same error. I have called my ISP, same error, they couldn't help me.

When I diagnosed the issue Windows 7 told me it was due to connectivity issues with my modem/wireless router, but I beg to differ, my modem and my router are working properly.

Update Network Drivers: - Make sure you have the latest network adapter drivers installed for your HP Pavilion Elite PC. You mentioned you've installed new drivers, but it's worth double-checking if they are the correct ones. 4. Disable Security Software: - Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your PC that could be interfering with the network connection. 5. Run Network Troubleshooter: - Use the built-in network troubleshooter in Windows to diagnose and fix common network issues. Right-click on the network icon in the system tray and select "Troubleshoot problems." 6. Check Physical Connections: - Ensure that the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into the Ethernet port on both your PC and the router. 7. Check Router Configuration: - Access your router's settings via a web browser by typing the router's IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and ensure that the wireless settings are correctly configured. 8. Try Safe Mode: - Boot your PC into Safe Mode with Networking to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is caused by any third-party software. 9. Windows Updates: - Make sure that your Windows 7 operating system is up to date with the latest patches and updates. Sometimes, updates can resolve networking issues. 10. Check for Hardware Issues: - If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with the network adapter on your PC. In this case, you may need to contact HP for further assistance. Feel free to try these steps and let me know if any of them help resolve your connectivity problem.
