Hi Guys!

Im using Win7 prof. 32Bit and a MC VX-800 Webcam with the Windows Live Messenger 2009...
First of all, my PC recognizes the webcam, but the LifeCam Tool from MS tells me, that he could not find a cam...
Then, when i start the LiveMessenger and configure my Audio- and Video setiings, LiveMessenger finds the cam, i can configure it and so on.
Then, if i want to start a webcam chat, Windows Live freezes, i can not chat anymore (but i can use other programs..Firefox etc)
After a short period of time - about 2-3 mins, Windows Live tells me, that he could not start a Webcam chat...
Neither if i invent someone or someone invents me.
Same problem if i get invented to his/her webcam..
Nothing change.

I hope, you can understand my problem...
II know, my english isn't the best...
But it would eb great, if you can help me out!

Best regards

It seems like you're encountering some issues with your webcam while using Windows Live Messenger on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem: 1. Check Webcam Drivers: - Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your webcam. Sometimes, using the generic drivers provided by Windows may not fully support all features of the webcam. You can check the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date drivers. 2. Check Webcam Compatibility: - Confirm that your webcam is fully compatible with Windows 7. Some older webcams may not be fully compatible with newer versions of Windows. 3. Check Webcam Compatibility: - Confirm that your webcam is fully compatible with Windows 7. Some older webcams may not be fully compatible with newer versions of Windows. 3. Testing with Other Applications: - Test the webcam with another application (like Skype, Zoom, or any webcam testing tool) to verify if the issue is specific to Windows Live Messenger or a broader problem with the webcam. 4. Disable and Re-enable the Webcam: - Try disabling and re-enabling the webcam in the Device Manager. This can sometimes reset the device and resolve connectivity issues. 5. Windows Live Messenger Settings: - Check the settings within Windows Live Messenger related to webcam and audio configurations. Ensure that the correct camera and audio devices are selected. 6. Antivirus and Firewall: - Sometimes, third-party antivirus or firewall software can interfere with webcam functionality. Temporarily disable them and see if the issue persists. 7. Compatibility Mode: - You can try running Windows Live Messenger in compatibility mode. Right-click on the Messenger shortcut > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select an earlier version of Windows. 8. Updated Software: - Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and your operating system are up to date with the latest updates and patches. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. 9. Alternative Software: - If the issue persists, consider using alternative software for webcam communication such as Skype, Zoom, or other video conferencing applications to see if the problem is specific to Windows Live Messenger. 10. Restart the Computer: - Simple as it sounds, sometimes a restart can resolve issues with hardware recognition or software conflicts. Try these steps one by one to see if any of them help resolve the problem with your webcam in Windows Live Messenger. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any other questions!
