Windows 7 Windows 7 serial numbers language independent?

Hi there

As it is hard to get FPP in our country, I'd like to buy it from Germany. Problem is, in Germany they sell German versions. Ok, one can install English MUI but I am not sure if this is 100% English then. In previous Windows it wasn't.

Now one can get unactivated Windows 7 English version (of course that would be illegal but let's say for example that a friend gives me English DVD to install, after all it is the licence I pay not the DVD).

My question is this: Can I use the German serial number to activate English version or not? Does anybody know for sure if serial numbers are independent of language supposedly I buy Windows 7 ultimate FPP of course, I know FPP can not use OEM version etc.

Is that possible?

I do not run any other language, so I have no experience with such a situation, but I know Windows 7 Ultimate contains all the languages. I am not sure about Pro, but I do not think so.

So my answer would be you could buy Ultimate from Germany and be OK, but I do not know for sure.
