Solution
It seems like you are encountering an issue with Windows Vista RC1 not recognizing your DVD burner when using DVD Maker, although Windows Media Player does not have this problem. This issue might be related to drivers or configurations specific to DVD Maker. Here are some steps you can take to potentially resolve this problem: 1. Check Device Manager: - Navigate to Device Manager by right-clicking on "Computer" or "This PC" and selecting "Manage." - In Device Manager, look for any yellow exclamation marks next to your DVD drive. Firmware Update: - Sometimes, firmware updates for the DVD drive can resolve compatibility issues. Check the LG website for any available firmware updates for your model. 4. Check Compatibility: - Ensure that your DVD burner is compatible with Windows Vista RC1. Visit the LG website or Microsoft's official compatibility list to confirm compatibility. 5. Third-Party Software: - Consider using third-party DVD burning software as an alternative to Windows DVD Maker. There are several free and paid options available that might work better with your DVD burner. 6. Registry Fix: - In some cases, modifying the registry settings can resolve issues with hardware recognition. This should be done carefully to avoid causing system instability. If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be worth exploring alternative DVD burning software options to see if they can detect and work with your DVD burner successfully.
