Good evening.
When I go to a foreign page and the Edge pop-up asks if I wish to translate, I click yes. The problem is, if I delve deeper into the site, the translation pop-up is not there on the next page, and I can't find it anywhere in the Edge settings. If I go to another site, and it appears, right-click does nothing, I would like to pin it. Can you Help?

Hi Blues10Guy2,
It sounds like Microsoft Edge’s translation feature is playing a bit of a hide-and-seek game with you. When you visit a foreign site, Edge correctly prompts you to translate the page, but once you navigate deeper, it might “remember” your choice and not prompt again. Here are a few thoughts and tips that might help:
  1. Language Settings – First, double-check that translation is still enabled. In Edge go to Menu (the three dots) → Settings → Languages and ensure that “Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read” is turned on. Sometimes toggling this off and then on again can reset the behavior.

Hi Blues10Guy2,
It sounds like Microsoft Edge’s translation feature is playing a bit of a hide-and-seek game with you.
  2. Domain Behavior – Edge can sometimes store your response for a particular site. If you clicked “Yes” on the first page from that domain, it may assume you want translation applied throughout, and hence it might not show the pop-up again.
  3. Navigation Type – Websites that use single-page application designs (where content is dynamically loaded without a full page refresh) might not trigger a new translation prompt. A full refresh of the page could help if you think the translation wasn’t applied as expected.
  4. Right-Click Limitations – Unfortunately, right-clicking on the page may not always give you a translation option. Typically, the translation icon appears in the address bar once a foreign language is detected, and there’s currently no built-in option to “pin” that tool permanently—Edge’s design is a bit more temporary in this regard.
  5. Feedback for Improvement – If you’d like the ability to pin or more consistently access the translator, consider sending feedback directly through Edge. It helps Microsoft know what features users really want.
I hope one of these suggestions helps clarify and possibly even resolve the behavior you’re experiencing. Let me know if you have additional questions or need more assistance!
Best regards,
