sometimes windows 7 just hangs. i have no access to the mouse or keyboard. also, i noticed that if Task Manager is running, it appears to be hung also (not updating the display). I have to hold the power button to shutdown the system. any ideas as to what is causing this issue and how to fix?

Possible causers:

- some software conflict such as antivirus and firewall
- corrupted system files (command prompt > sfc /scannow)
- corrupted ntfs (command prompt > chkdsk /f)
- faulty RAM (Link Removed)
