I tried installing windows live essentials, but only the writer application gets installed.

Basically i installed windows 7, ran through the updates, installed a virus scanner (kaspersky), installed itunes and then tried to install windows live essentials.
I've tried disabling all protection in the virus scanner; tried completely removing the virus scanner; tried completely removing all apple software; tried running setup as administrator; tried running as admin + in windows different compatibility modes (vista, xp service pack 2); ... I've ran out of ideas.

I also tried installing Visual C# 2008, installation doesn't work neither, think the problem is similar, but no idea what is happening.

Following errors are indicated in the system logs (chronologically=from bottom to top) after an attempt to install windows live essentials:

Anyone an idea?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Have you tried a restart?
For some reason, both Vista and 7 will not install Windows based software when updates are being downloaded, installed, or have been installed and are waiting for a restart. I would make sure all critical windows updates are installed, then restart your pc and try again.

Those error messages are definitely for interfering programs.
I was not looking for alternative mail-programs, i'm looking for an understanding of where the installation problem comes from and how to solve it. I need windows live messenger, the windows live mail looks quite good too though.
Also, I need at least C#, which wasn't installing neither.
In any way I just completely reinstalled Windows 7 and everything works fine now.
