Link Removed
It no longer appears in the tray like it use to instead it has two icons and when you close the window one tab remains until you click it and it reopens another tab.

  3. Reconfigure System Tray Settings: Check the system tray settings to ensure that WLM is set to always show the icon. You can customize this behavior in the notification area settings.
  4. Reinstall Windows Live Mail: If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Live Mail. This can sometimes resolve underlying software problems.
  5. Compatibility Mode: If you recently upgraded your computer to Windows 7 Ultimate, try running Windows Live Mail in compatibility mode. Right-click on the program shortcut or executable, go to Properties, and then select a previous version of Windows in the compatibility tab.
  6. Check for Conflicting Software: Sometimes, conflicts with other software can cause such behavior. Ensure no other programs are interfering with Windows Live Mail.
  7. Seek Help from Microsoft Support: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance with the Windows Live Mail issue.
