WMP12 won't let me view any devices such as mass storage or any usb media player or micro sd card reader or my g1. It use to something went wrong. How do you rebuild the WMP files (fresh install would be good). Please help me.

Solution
To resolve issues with Windows Media Player 12 (WMP12) not recognizing devices like mass storage, USB media players, micro SD card readers, or your G1 phone, you can try to rebuild the Windows Media Player database. This process will refresh the media library and hopefully resolve the issues you are facing. Here's how you can rebuild the Windows Media Player database:

Steps to Rebuild Windows Media Player Database:

  1. Clear WMP's Media Library:
    • Close Windows Media Player.
    • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type or paste the following command and press Enter:
      Code:
       %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player
    • Delete all the files in this folder (Do not delete folders, only files).

Fresh Installation of Windows Media Player 12:
