[h=2]Hello, all of a sudden my media player will not work anymore and when I tried to look for it to uninstall it I can't find it. so I go to download it again and I get the following message:

Windows Media Player is not compatible with your system.[/h]You are running Windows 7 32-bit. Although Windows Media Player will not run on your system, you can download Windows Media Player for other operating systems.
Which version would you like to download?

  • Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP
  • Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP (64-bit)

What the heck is going on, media player has allways played on this pc from the start!
please help, thx very much. Dan

1. Windows Media Player 12 comes with your Win 7 OS. It is part of the operating system. It cannot be uninstalled.
2. You were trying to download Windows Media Player 11 version. That is why you failed.

Suggestions :
1. Try to access wmp.exe this way and see if it will run....
Start button > in the search box, type wmplayer.exe > press Enter.
Will wmp open up and play ?

2. While you are struggling with the default wmp 12, consider installing a free program called VLC.
It plays almost all type of video/audio formats.
