Hello there,
I am running Windows 11 and connecting to a TV screen as a second monitor using an HDMI connection.
I am having a problem with Windows changing the resolution on my laptop when I extend my desktop to the external monitor.
As you can see in the attached images, the resolution on my laptop is set to 1920 x 1200 with scaling set to 100% and this setting does not change when I begin projecting to the second screen. However, Windows shrinks my laptop screen by adding a black border across the top and bottom.
This leads to program windows being cut off. We often have to stop projecting in order to access buttons that are located off the visible screen.
Why is Windows doing this and is there a way to stop it?
Thanks in advance for the help!
