windows can freeze for many reasons and sometimes the solution isn't always obvious.
Did you recently update software or add any new hardware? If so, try removing. You might want to consider system restore at this point.
Drivers: Is your system running with the latest driver versions for your machine? Drivers for laptops are usually made available by the lappies manufacturer so please check yours and update where necessary including bios: ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS K55VD
Heat: Heat can cause components to fail which in turn crashes your machine. Check your temps and that all vents are free from dust. To monitor your temps (graphics, chip and system) try this app: SIV - System Information Viewer
Virus/malware: Virus activity should never be ruled out and if you have a virus app then ensure it's fully updated and your system is scanned at least once a week. If not. then try MSE. It's free and good at what it does: Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows Personally I also run Malwarebytes as neither conflicts and they work very well together: Malwarebytes
yuppp. i did that. my drivers are good. and i scan always. just today i left it on and when i came back it is already frozen. I don't know what really causes this. I don't want to experiment and try things that might make it worse. help.
