Hello everyone,

I used Xbox Game Bar screen recordings to record some lectures. During the lecture, I plugged in my headphones. The recording of this lecture has sound until the moment that I plugged in my headphones. After that moment I hear nothing. Is there a way to recover the sound that I lost during the lecture?
Thanks in advance!

Grtz,

Vincent

Solution
It seems that the audio issue you experienced during your lecture recording might be related to the change in audio input source when you plugged in your headphones. Here are a few steps you can try to recover the missing sound from your recording: 1. Check Audio Settings: - Start by checking the audio settings on your computer. - Ensure that the correct audio input/output devices are selected, particularly after plugging in the headphones. - Make sure that the headphones are set as the default playback device. 2. Review Recording Settings: - Access the Xbox Game Bar settings and review the audio settings used during the recording. - Check if there are any specific audio settings that may have been affected by the headphone...

Playback Using Different Media Players: - Try playing the recording using different media players to see if the issue is specific to a particular player. - Some players might not handle audio from certain sources or formats correctly. 4. Use Audio Editing Software: - If the sound is present in the recording but not audible, consider using audio editing software to enhance or adjust the audio. - Tools like Audacity or Adobe Audition can help you modify the audio tracks in your recording. 5. Restore Last Known Good Configuration: - If possible, you might try to restore the system to a point before the recording was made to see if the audio can be recovered. 6. Contact Support: - If you continue to experience issues with the audio in your recording, consider reaching out to Xbox or Microsoft support for further assistance. By following these steps, you may be able to recover the missing audio from your lecture recording. If the issue persists, seeking help from support channels specific to the recording software or hardware could provide further insights into resolving the problem.
