Hi,
you can clear the 'Recycle Bin' (usually located on the desktop) by right clicking the icon and choosing 'empty recycle bin'.
You can also use an application like Ccleaner (free) which will clean the system thoroughly. Just run it once a week and don't use the Registry cleaner as Windows does not need it. (it can also cause more issues than fix so please don't use the reg cleaner part)

Defragging can help too unless you have a SSD in which case don't defrag as it's not good for them. A good defragging app is this:
