hey everyone

I've found the answer to let cod 2 work on Windows 7.
it is very simple.

do this
1.Open computer
2.right click on cod 2 DVD and open it in explorer
3.than locate the file launch.exe
4.right click, properties, compatibility and put it on windows xp (service pack 2)
5.than simply install cod 2

so this is what you should do

sorry for my english but
i hope this helps you

Did not work for me

Got to the part where you change the compatability to XP SP2 but how do install after that step. What file should I click on?

Make sure to do it ALSO for the launch game file (or its shortcut) after the game is installed. :)

I found this thread perfect for me.
I set Launch.exe to compatibility mode Visa SP3. Then double-clicked on launch.exe and all was perfect.
I did NOT install DirectX as I assumed that the latest version would come with Windows 7. I've not checked the details but it worked like a dream and the Red Army is doing well!

Thanks for this thread.
