I am sorry if this already discussed.
I am trying to rename 20+ folders in Windows Explorer and they jump all over place. I need to keep them in place after renaming. Is anybody knew how to disable auto sorting in folders, not on the Desktop.

There are so many threads on this subject, that I think it would be best if you did a search. Basic answer is that there is no answer. The best suggestion I have seen is to put a number in front of each of your files/folders, in the order in which you require them

Thank you. I did find several Explorer replacements. Can I post their names and/or links. I would like to know what is your expert opinion about them? If it safe to use them?
