I have an HP Folio 13 running windows 7 x64. It is networked to a work domain. Upon logging in a message pops up stating " Failed to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the Group Policy Client service. This problem prevents standard users from logging onto the system. As an administrative user, you can review the System Even Log for details about why the service didn't respond." I have seen several threads similar to this one but in my case it is not related to only one user profile. I have logged on with several different network accounts and all get the same message upon start up. The machine functions normally meaning I can still access the network etc...It's just upon start up that I get this message. I would love to know what is causing this. I have tried so many things but still getting the message. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
