How do I disable my in build keyboard on my laptop I have tried disabling my keyboard on my Lenovo laptop since it doesnt work properly. I have tried disabling the automatic updates through sysdm.cpl, changing the group policies through gpedit.msc and selecting a wrong driver for my keyboard in Device Manager, but the keyboard keeps installing on every reboot. - Head into your Start Menu, and type in Device Manager.
- Open up the Device Manager and find your way to Keyboards and hit the arrow to the left of it.
- Here you will be able to find your laptop's keyboard. Right click on it and hit 'Uninstall'
