Windows 7 How to Upgrade RC to RTM

• Mount Windows 7 RTM Build 7600 ISO:
• Obtain the Windows 7 RTM Build 7600 ISO and extract its content to a folder or a USB drive.
• Modify the "cversion.ini" file:
• Navigate to the "Sources" folder of Windows 7 within the extracted RTM content.
• Locate and open the "cversion.ini" file using Notepad.
• Adjust the "MinClient" build number:
• In the "cversion.ini" file, find the "[HostBuild]" section.
• Modify the "MinClient" build number to a value that is lower than the build number of the installed Windows 7 version.
• For example, change "MinClient=7000.0" if you have Windows 7 Beta Build installed, setting it to a lower version like "MinClient=7000.0".
• Save changes and run setup.exe:
• Save the updated "cversion.ini" file in the same location.
• Run the "setup.exe" executable from the extracted RTM content to initiate the Windows 7 RC upgrade process.
• Follow on-screen instructions:
• Proceed with the upgrade process, following the on-screen instructions that appear during the upgrade.
• Choose the "Upgrade" option when prompted.
