In windows 7 I use maps all the time. When I take a walk I figure how far I'll walk and how many turns I'll take and can figure it out to the tenth of a mile by using "add a destination" but I don't see that in Windows 8

Can be done via Bing Maps using the desktop browser.

the Maps APP. Open the Maps APP. Rt Clk. On the resultant Bar @ the bottom hit Directions. Bar comes out w/ To & From...
