Hello

Windows 7 has dropped the ball. Out of the blue it has started refusing to connect to the internet. The network symbol is marked by an exclamation mark. I can access my home network but no internet. Network and Sharing Centre even says I have full internet access sometime, but its obviously trying to deceive me. Cheeky OS.

I have access via ethernet.

I have tried removing quicktime, I don't have bonjour as a service.. or the "##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B87 9762 ## service.

Please help!:((:((:((:((:((:((:[-O<[-O<[-O<

  • Make sure "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" is checked.
  • Reset TCP/IP Stack:

  • Expand the "Network adapters" section. Right-click on your network adapter and select "Update driver."
  • Check Firewall Settings:
  • Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to check if they are blocking the internet connection.
  • Run Network Troubleshooter:
  • Windows includes a network troubleshooter that can help diagnose and fix common network problems. You can access it by:
  • Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar and select "Troubleshoot problems."

    Additional Suggestions:

  • You can also try connecting to a different network to see if the issue persists.
  • Consider trying a different Ethernet cable to rule out a faulty cable. Hopefully, these steps help in resolving your internet connectivity issue on Windows 7. Let me know if you encounter any difficulties or if you need further assistance!
