Folks,

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 running Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2010 Starter. There is a known issue that when you attempt to run the Windows 8 upgrade Assistant, it displays Office 2010 Starter as "Not Compatible". In order to correct this, you need to install an update (KB2553141). The problem is that even with the update installed, the upgrade assistant still points the Office 2010 as not compatible. Any ideas? See attached images. Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Felipe.

Good news: I did the upgrade W7-W8. Althrough MS Office Starter 2010 was listed as "Incompatible" (see attachments above), the Windows 8 upgrade kept my office installation and it is functioning perfectly. If somebody has the same issue, make sure the MS "Click and Run" patch is installed before upgrading.

Hi!

Are you using Windows 8 64bts and also Office 2010 64bts?
If you are and it's not working any way, have you considered trying out the new Microsoft Office 2013?
