Hi all

At work me and my workmate both have window XP computers. we have just bought a Canon ix6850 Printer and i have installed it on my computer fine and it prints great. I have set it up to share over the network and on my mates computer when we go into print we can see the shared printer but as soon as we try to print anything it comes up instantly with "document failed to print" message.

Its currently plugged into my computer via USB and both of the computers in question have the correct driver installed.

im stuck !

anyone with any ideas?

I suggest the basic issue is that xp predates the current print share software… as a practical matter something like the TP-Link Wireless Modem Router range gives you two usb share ports without busting the bank account… you plug the printer into one of them and that removes xp as a bottle neck.
