I have hp laptop using windows 7 today i put external harddisk, and from that tym it is giving program exe has stopped check online for solution i have tried to format c and no difference but it has partition

I wish I knew the answer but I'm far from an expert. I had a look on youtube and there are loads of videos which involve registry edits. I don't know if this one is any use, however, there are links to others.

Formatting the drive means it erases/wipes the drive of all data.
