What is the purpose of file C:/windows/system32/shell32.dll?

shell32.dll is a process belonging to the Microsoft Windows Shell program . shell32.dll is a library which contains Windows Shell API functions, which are used when opening web pages and files. shell32.dll should not be disabled, required for essential applications to work properly.
