📎 AI Summary:
Luke W initially reported display issues after a Windows update, with screen elements appearing stretched and oversized despite changing resolution settings. Neemobeer suggested checking the graphics driver and ensuring it was up to date, considering the monitor's widescreen aspect ratio. Eventually, Luke W managed to resolve the problem by installing a graphics driver, ending the discussion on a positive note.

So, I recently updated Windows and the resolution and scale has been completely messed up. I've tried changing the resolution in the settings and none of them work for me. Any more ideas??

Solution
Make sure your graphics driver is installed and current these are all 4:3 or close to it resolutions. I'm going to take a guess and say your monitor is a wider monitor (not square)?

Can you elaborate on "messed up"? Items on screen stretched? Black horizontal/vertical bars? What resolution choices do you have?

An image from 'Strange screen resolution'. Windows Display settings showing screen resolution options with 1024 x 768 recommended.

So idk if this is helpful enough but these are the options i'm getting and all of them stretch the screen too much horizontally and everything is just way too big
