Most likely the answer you're looking for is "you're going to have to just wait" when you delete a file it needs to mark each extent that file occupies in the MFT and with really large files they will have a ton of entries.
You can see how many extents it has with the command fsutil file queryextents <filename>

Be better to hold down the shift key while pressing the delete key to just delete in instead of taking up recycle space.
