My computer has been saying it needs activation, so i tried to activate it with the product key under my computer (for a windows 7 home premium) and it wont work, my computer says it uses windows 7 ultimate and i dont know how to change it.

Solution
option 1, back up your files and format the system back to blank then install Windows 7 home using the key printed on the machine... finding an iso may take some time.

option 2, pay for a Windows 7 Ultimate... they go for about $50 new and I'd advoid getting a second hand one because the key may not be freed up.
