Previously my usb ports were working with my mice with windows 7 for the first couple days. i at first thought that possibly the mouse was broken , but i tried many mice in many different usb ports and its not working. im assuming this is due to a windows 7 problem. Anyone have any ideas? btw, im using a sony vgn-aw125j laptop if that helps. thanks.

Do you have a USB flash drive that you can try?

When you go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers, do you have entries here?

Try downloading this utility and read the help file on that site.
