I am unable to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional or Visual Basic Express editions, so I don't have to endlessly repeat what all I have tried, please check out the following link:

As explained in the link above, I have tried everything, including re-installing Windows 7.

I have no trouble installing any other software at all.

EDIT: I just ran Process monitor on Visual Studio 2008 and I can see why it quit responding.
Here is a picture of a loop that it is stuck in, it just recreates these same lines over and over when it hangs.
