Windows 8 Win 8.1 & IPv6

Hi,

I was having some connectivity problems and my ISP asked me to disable IPv6 on my Network Card settings. This solved my problem. However I have now noticed that I am unable to connect to YouTube - others connect fine and realistically there maybe some other sites that I cannot connect to but I don't know of any... I re-enabled IPv6 and it connects to YouTube

Could someone please advise whether it is possible to connect to YouTube while IPv6 is disabled and if so how I can do that.

<<This forum doesn't permit me to post a URL - so when I say YouTube - I do mean the usual one...

You can see old youtube stuff with ip4... most new (this century) computers and internet want ip6 so file sync and homegroups etc.

I have no problem connecting to YouTube with IPv6 disabled...

Change your IPv4 DNS servers to Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
