Windows 7 won't recognize jpg

I transfered some pictures from my camera to Nikon Transfer. The thumbnail jpg images are fine but when I try to expand each image I get a unsupported file type.

If you don't have any third party graphics/photo programs installed, right click one of the pictures and select "Open with". If Paint, or photo gallery is not showing, select browse to Windows -System32 and select MsPaint. If you tick the small square in the open with, window, this will remain the default until you choose another program. Fwiw. Paint is a little inadequate for photos. Best install a photo program or download Windows Live, which has an excellent Photo program as an option. (Live Photo Gallery)
