Been using windows 7 for months, no prob. Been using trial version of office 2007 for weeks, no prob.

Everything slowed to a crawl yesterday, and I've isolated it as being only when word 2007 is open. It slows everything down, even when there is no document. When there is a large document, it slows drastically. Just being open slows it. Ppoint, excel etc, all have no effect. Like I say this has only just started.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered uninstalling Microsoft Word 2007 and reinstalling only that application? Also, what other processes are running in the background when Word 2007 is running?
