In Windows 7, when I go into Control Panel - Network & Internet to view my Home Network, click 'see full map'
I notice a question mark device icon noted 'unknown'. It has no address or any other information. It only disappears when I reboot. Has my computer been compromised by a hacker? There has been some unusual activity.

Do you visit public wifi hot spots? If so, it's certainly possible.
