Dear all

I’m using ArcGIS server, I decided to monitor javaw.exe and I found that memory consumption changed significantly some times its about 5,000,000 k and other times I found it 10,000,000k

What is the source of this significant change? and what is the effect of this on the performance of arcgis server

Your best bet would be to ask the developers. Never used the application, but looking at the site, I would image map/geographic data rendering and analytics can eat up a ton of memory depending on the amount of data and applications tend to use as much memory as they can. Granted it's probably virtual memory meaning some of the data will get off loaded into the page file.
