The user "Super7" raised issues with Windows 10's multiple printer selection screens, noting inconsistent options and questioning why a consolidated menu couldn't be provided. They also experienced a printing problem where parts of the text appeared as an overlay despite the preview appearing normal, seeking advice on whether it's a Windows or printer issue. "Neemobeer" responded by explaining that print settings are determined by individual programs and the print job content itself, suggesting that the issue is likely related to the application or print file rather than Windows or the printer hardware.

Win 10 has at least 3 different versions of the screen to select a printer and specify what is to be done/layout Etc. when calling up a printer. Not all are full function/option. Example: "print current page". Why not one version with all the options?
Second problem: When printing some pages print with an overlay of parts of the text to be printed yet the preview is fine. Is this a Win problem or the printer used (in my case HP).
Any comments/solutions?

Solution
Well programs can also have their own print menus/screens. The printer will print what ever is in the print job. The printer itself nor Windows will change that. The print jobs are created by the application printing in most cases.
