In Windows 7, you know, The "Olden days", when I asked the computer to delete a file, a window would open up and say something to the effect of "do you really want to delete this file?" I liked that. If I am working really fast, and I usually am, I like having my machine slow me down just a tad bit and ask me if that is really what I want to do. If I screw up, I know I could go into the recycle bin and pull it out, but that's only if I notice what I just did. Sometimes I have several files selected and don't notice it.

How do I get Windows 8 to ask me first?

Right click the recycle bin, choose properties, check the bottom box and click OK.
