It may sound a bit odd, but I'm considering dropping Win7x32 Ultimate to go to x64. Either Home Prem or Pro. Reasoning is to be able to utilize more RAM and speed things up. The real question is can x32 Ultimate be upgraded in place to x64 HP or Pro?

No.. Upgrade utility will not run on a 32 bit system. You will need to do a custom/clean install.

Make sure and backup anything you can...
