Windows 7 Problem saving personalizations

i have a pre-release/test version of windows 7. I've tried changing my theme, desktop pic, and power settings, but it always reverts to default when i restart my comp. Can anyone help with this?

I did not have this problem with 7 RCs. Do you shut down your user session properly (Start Menu > Shut Down) ?

i do shut down properly, and yes i can get the final version, if i can get it for free.

I'm still using the RC and I don't have that problem. In fact it's always been probably 98% problem free. It runs better that any operating system I've ever used.
