I see that the default area where things are installed (C:\) only consists of 149 GB total, while the Data (D:\) drive has a total of 780 GB. I'd like to move some files over there, but I'm not sure what I should do. I would also like to know, is there any way to transfer GB from D: to C:?

You could use G parted to resize the partitions, but why when you can just change where things gets installed via the installers when you install apps. As an example my system drive is 120GB and contains only windows, all apps and games are insttalled though to my 1TB D: drive.
