When you use an NVIDIA nForce network controller in a Windows 7-based computer, you may lose the network connection intermittently.

Any solution, advice or pearls of wisdom? ...i installed a 32bit version of windows 7 on an hp pavilion dv6000 laptop(had vista) and sure enough that network controller has been trying to reinstall itself but fails to and im left with out wireless or LAN access

You should follow the steps given in the KB article. Also make sure that you have the latest NVIDIA nForce drivers.

nForce chipset has had weird problems over the years, especially with driver support. You may find that a fresh install of the chipset drivers and their associated components will be of value to you, especially after upgrading from Windows Vista.
