Windows 7 Recover back to Vista

Restore Vista on HP desktop Hi, I have an HP Pavillon a 6220n desktop. What I did to go back to Vista was to press the F11 key when you reboot and restart your computer. Your OS boot menu should have it there; like ESC to access the menu, etc., and F11 will say "Recover my computer". Mine did...

    Windows 7 Magix software incompatable

Same here. I installed Magix Movie Edit 14 in Vista Compatibility, and it installed but when it runs it crawls, very slow, almost non-responsive. I tried creating a movie project, went as far as burning my project to DVD and guess what? It told me I did not have any hardware burner on my...

Windows 7 Incompatible Windows 7 Programs

Hi, I just installed the new build of Win 7 (Build 7022) and here Roxio Creator 2009 works flawlessly. Magix Movie Edit 14 installed with not glitches but did not run well, did not recognize my cd/dvd burners so I uninstalled it. Will try other programs.

    Windows 7 windows 7 Beta 7022

In in my case I did install it OVER my old Win 7 (Build 7000) and everything went smoothly. You're right -- this new build is much better and faster, all my devices work, even programs I could not install in the earlier build, now installed flawlessly. Will try other programs.

Windows 7 Windows7 has problems with Office 2007

I have the same problem, particularly with Excel 2007. I have a password protected document that opens well when I'm in Windows 7. But when I revert back to my Vista partition it tells me the same document "is corrupt and cannot be opened" even though I type in my password correctly. So I go...

Windows 7 In Defense of Vista!!

Frankly, I don't understand all the glowing praises for Windows 7 Beta. I don't understand also all this hatred for Windows Vista. Under Windows 7, almost all of my current applications DO NOT work! Three of my devices DO NOT work! I am a professional video editor and my Magix Movie Edit 14 does...

Windows 7 Windows Media Player in Windows 7 quirks!

I noticed an annoying quirk in the WMP that came with Windows 7. It does not recognize or store all of my music files, including the CD files that I ripped. When I revert back to my Windows Vista partition, ALL of the music files are there and intact! What the blank is going on? NExt, in...

Windows 7 Superdisk -USB device, enhanced keyboard, etc.

1.) I have the Superdisk LS/120/240 (made by Matshita) external floppy drive that worked flawlessly with Windows Vista but is now not working with Windows 7. When I click on the yellow exclamation point to troubleshoot I am offered the button to apply the fix of reinstalling the device driver...

Windows 7 Incompatible Windows 7 Programs

Tried to install Magix Movie Edit 14 and it will not install. It said "unknown operating system". I wonder about Roxio Easy Creator 2009. I also wonder about other Magix applications like Audio Cleaning Lab, MP3 Maker Deluxe, etc. Roxio Creator 2009 works on a CLEAN install, not an upgrade...

Windows 7 Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 Crashes

Hi, the following steps solved the problem for me. If Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 is installed, uninstall it. (Windows 7 has its own Active sync or WMDC capability). Disconnect your device or ipaq. On your device go to "settings", then to "connections", then tap the "USB to PC" icon. Make...
